This is Archie, then new addition to the family. He has a broken shoulder as a result of probably getting stuck somewhere after running away from a dog. He is my daughter's cat but is now going to retire to my house. We have been keeping him in and trying to adjust him to his new surroundings. We already have two cats, which are his brother and sister from another litter. Also a large dog, which doesn't chase cats fortunately. Archie has yet to meet him!!!!!!!!!! I do hope he doesn't run away and get lost. We aim to keep in in for another week or two and hope that he will decide to stay with us.Informative ramblings on my creative processes with pictures of works in progress and completed items punctuated with my working adventures and trips abroad.

More Great Music
I have just posted a video I saw on YouTube. It was the background music to a Mixed Media painting video by Dutch Artist Carla van den Berg.If you like Native American style music scroll down to the bottom of the page and watch and listen. I am a new fan.!! By the way you will need to switch off my music player first.!!
I have been painting in my shed again today. I am hooked on Golden's Molding Paste!! I have been playing with Molding Paste, Lace, Paper Casts and Acrylic Paint. What do you think?
I like it!!!!!!!

Stuff and Crash, Bang. Wallop
This week has been a bit of a write-off - forgive the pun. My daughter crashed her car on the way to work Monday evening and ended up in Accident and Emergency at Dorset County Hospital strapped to a body board with her neck in a brace. Fortunately she was just bruised and whiplashed. Not so her beloved purple jeep. That has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky!!! A greasy road with diesel spillage was the culprit. She lost control rounding a bend and found herself embedded in someone's garden wall. Thank the Lord no-one was on the pavement.
Next week-end I am at Bath Assembly Rooms for the Ashley Hall Vintage Fashion Fair. Let's hope that will be worthwhile. I must therefore get back to work and organise the stock that I shall be taking. Painting will have to take a back seat for a while.

Life's a Bitch!
I am not a political kind of person, I keep, my views to myself until I have reached breaking point and then explode with a mass of mixed emotions. Things that have been happening across the World, in the Middle East, Indonesia, Afghanistan, have made me feel sick to my stomach. Man's inhumanity to Man. Images on the Television of mutilated bodies, children crying in pain and for their dead parents, schools, hospitals, peoples homes rendered into piles of rubble. Complete and utter devestation. The human race at its worst. I am lost for words. This photograph of Martin Luther King is one of my favourites. When I look at his beautiful face I can hear his voice and his inspiring words. I feel a little calmer. He makes me smile.
